A Career Built on Solving Real Problems
Alain Maisonneuve grew up in Montreal before relocating to Toronto to pursue a career in commercial real estate. Over the following decade, he developed a deep understanding of property management, tenant relations, and the logistics of moving — both residential and commercial.
After managing several large-scale real estate portfolios across the GTA, Alain noticed a consistent gap in the market: people needed flexible, affordable storage solutions, but the existing options were either too expensive, too complicated, or too poorly maintained to trust.
In 2019, he launched storfindr with a single location in Toronto and a commitment to doing things differently. The company grew quickly, driven by word-of-mouth from satisfied customers and a relentless focus on quality and transparency.
Today, storfindr operates across six Ontario cities, serves thousands of customers annually, and continues to expand its digital tools and service offerings under Alain's leadership.

Q.What inspired you to start storfindr?
A.I was helping a friend move and we spent hours trying to find a decent, affordable storage unit near Toronto. The process was confusing, the pricing was opaque, and the facilities were hit-or-miss. I knew there had to be a better way. That frustration became the seed for storfindr — a platform that makes finding and booking storage as simple as possible.
